Stamford Hospital is a not-for-profit, community teaching hospital that has served Stamford and surrounding Connecticut communities for more than 100 years. This facility maintains 305 inpatient beds with specialties in medicine, surgery, obstetrics/gynecology, psychiatry, and medical and surgical critical care units.
The first phase of the hospital’smulti-story addition to the main hospital will include new Emergency and Surgery departments, Pharmacy, Laboratory, and other support functions.
PHASE I - This expansion will include fully built-out state of the art 63,000SF Emergency Department at ground level. The remaining floors (basement level 1, and level 2) will be shelled for future programmatic spaces, such as: surgery, heart invasive, intensive care, central sterile processing and ancillary support spaces.
PHASE II - Three shelled floors will be designated to support a surgery suite with 10 operating rooms including cardiovascular operating room plus support; a sterile processing department facility support areas; a 24-bed intensive care unit; and a heart and vascular interventional suite with 5 cath labs.
